Raising Funds for VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation

I’ve shared my story with the Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) and University of British Columbia (UBC) Foundation to help raise funds for a new mental health centre at VGH.

The campaign involves a wide range of mental health stakeholders, including doctors, nurses, family members and others with firsthand experiences of mental illness.

This sign, along with features on other campaign members, is posted along the construction site of the new building. The text reads: “When I had no where else to go, I tried to end my life.”

There will also be an article in the Province Newspaper and I will be participating in a radio interview with other campaign members on March 6th, hosted by Jon McComb on CKNW – 980AM.

I’ll be speaking from 3:35 to 4:00pm. Listen in if you have the chance.
